Rodabough Year Of 2008

Our Beautiful Family Picture Summer of 2008

Cameron is our oldest at 18. A.K.A. he calls himself "The Golden Child" .
Cyler is our second at 16, and ready to drive. YIKES!

Caleb is our third at 12 1/2 and the "Middle Child" and thinks in those terms.

Caid is our fourth at 6 years. His mind is endless in thought and word.
Brylee is our LAST! Hurray! She is 3 1/2 going on 13. She is a princess, but we call her "Little RED".

You will have to bear with me as this is my first attempt at our blog. To start off with the oldest in our family that would be Jason. He is still working for Union Pacific Railroad as a locomotive Engineer. Meaning he drives the trains. He is going on 19 years of service this month. Only about 23 more years give or take until retirement. YIPPEE! He is also a UTU Local Chairman for his Union. So if you ever see a train, wave, Jason may be the engineer driving. His route right now is going to Green River, Wyoming and Pocatello, Idaho. I like it much better when he is in Provo, that way he is home more and does not have to go out of town. But I guess I should count my blessings and be grateful that he has such a good job. I think for the most part he has enjoyed his job, other than being away from his family so much. Jason enjoys camping, fishing, playing Guitar Hero World Tour, traveling to Arizona to be with family, going to the movies, reading, watching sons play football and soccer, shooting hoops with boys, anything electronic but mostly the computer and spending time with his family. He also is teaching the 11 and 12 year old kids with me in church and enjoys it so much. Jason is a wonderful husband and great father we love him dearly.

Then there is me. What can I say? I am a stay at home mom. I worked outside the home for the first time in 17 years for Target last Nov. until this past Sept. It was an interesting experience juggling my family, having parents living with us, working early morning hours and my health. I worked the 4a.m. to 9a.m. shift. For the most part I enjoyed it. It was rather hard to get up that early in the morning. I can say I am grateful to be able to be home with my children! It has been a busy year. We had my parents living with us for about 14 months. They moved back to Utah from AZ and needed a place to stay. They have since moved out in Sept. to a beautiful home in Saratoga Springs. I have had some trouble with being very low on iron, which made me very weak and tired and harder to work outside of the home. I have since enjoyed reading the Twilight Series and anything that is similar. Going to the movies, going to AZ to be with sister and brothers, staying up late and talking with my teenage boys, decorating my house, gardening, sleeping, (ha,ha,ha) and spending time with my family.

Cameron is a senior at Lehi High this year. He has had a busy year playing football as outside linebacker and is very sad to see his 5 years of football come to an end. He is also Student Body Vice President, and very busy with all that it entails. But he is having a blast with it all! He is a 3.9 student and has been that or better for the past 6 years. He is very motivated which has been a blessing for him and us. He will be greatly missed when he leaves for his mission this coming August. (We can not believe that our baby is there already!) How fast time flies!!! Cameron has been working for Lehi Roller Mills in Lehi for the past year. They have since made him warehouse manager and given him a raise, which is the best part. Cameron enjoys snowboarding, playing football, texting!, going out with girls (his mom says stay away from girls), fishing, camping, four wheeling, wake boarding, hanging out with friends, listening to music and sleeping in when he can. Cameron is an awesome big brother and a great example for us all. We love him so much.

Cyler is a sophmore this year at Lehi High. He is a good student and would be better if we could keep the girls away from him. He has been waiting to get his license, and is hoping to get it this coming February depending on his grades. (His mom is secretly hoping he will get it too!!) He is enjoying high school and being able to date. He has been working at Smiths in Saratoga Springs as a bagger for the past 4 months. He is very friendly and gets a lot of praise at work for how hard of a worker he is. Cyler enjoys running, which he has been on the track team the past 2 years, basketball, music, mountain biking. He has just started mountain biking this past summer and some of the adult men in our ward can not believe how good he already is when they have been biking for years. He also enjoys camping, hiking, fishing, four wheeling, texting (when he has his phone), and spending time with his family. We love Cyler very much and look up to him (literally) because he is 6'0 and still growing.

Caleb is in the 7th grade at Willowcreek Middle School this year. He is a very good student making the honor roll at a 3.9. He is very active in everything. His love though is football and soccer. He has been on an accelerated soccer team for the past two years. His team is FC Blaze. They took 1st place this past summer in Park City for region. Right now he is playing indoor soccer and loving it. But like I said, his true love is football. He can't wait to play this coming fall season! Caleb enjoys snowboarding, which he is enjoying right now, hanging out with friends, playing Guitar Hero, listening to music, and watching his big brothers girl drama and hopefully learning from it. Going to AZ and being with cousins, anything outdoors, camping, four wheeling, fishing, tending his younger brother and sister, (just had to put that in since he does not care for that one to much.) Caleb keeps us all on track he is a joy to have in our family! Of course we love him too!

Caid is in Kindergarten at Hidden Hollow Elementary this year. He is doing very well. He has been teaching himself to read. (His school is brand new this year so there are some quirk's that need to be worked out with the reading program.) He is very bright! He remembers everything. Caid is our starting over child as him and Caleb have a 6 year gap between them. Caid is full of life. He is always going both mind and mouth. He has a story for everything. He does not just tell the story, he also has to do all the actions and sounds that are associated with what ever he is telling you. He loves just about anything and everything that his brothers like. He loves to go to cheer for them in all their different sports activities. He likes to play football and soccer with Caleb and all the neighbor boys. Caid also enjoys riding his bike, scooter, playing guns with all the neighborhood kids, girls and boys alike, going to the gas station, playing Guitar Hero with brothers and dad, playing his Nintendo DS, he also loves to be read to and to sound out words. (We can not spell anymore he figures it out.) Drawing pictures and coloring, playing with cousins and anything that is outdoors. Caid is really the life in our home such an addition to our family! We love little Caid a ton!!!

Brylee in going to preschool 2 days a week this year at Miss Malorie's. She loves it! And so does mom. She is doing very well tracing her letters and making pictures, saying all of the Pledge of Allegiance and alphabet. Brylee has been so much fun to have in our family. It has been so fun to watch how girly she is and her brothers love to tease her. ( I don't know what it is about a girl?) She really has added a lot of spunk to our home and a lot of sweetness too. Brylee is going to start taking tap, ballet and tumbling. She is very excited for this experience. Brylee loves to sing she is always making up new songs to sing us. She also enjoys playing house, barbies, dress ups, playing with her friends and her cousins, going to the gas station just around the corner, and I can't forget she loves her "blanklet" as she calls it. People ask me would you have kept trying until you got a girl? I say we were not trying for her, just got her don't know how. (Seriously do not know how.) I thought we were done. Someone just had other plans for us. And wow we are so thrilled to have her in our family. Can not imagine our life without her or any of our boys they bring so much joy!!! Yes tears too, but I would not trade a one!

To think we have almost been married for 19 years this February. I thank my Heavenly Father for it all. Without him I would not have all that I have, and I have so much! I hope that this gives you a little glimpse of what we have been up to this year. I will try to do my best to keep up and post new things that are happening in our life. Hope that this finds you all well!
Happy New Years!!!
